This company is a scam. They are unable to provide justification for fees issued, they dont respond to emails, and they bought expensive insurance on my behalf despite me providing proof of insurance several times. This company is illegal and needs to be shut down.
Just switched to RoundPoint as they bought my loan, never had any issues with my previous mortgage company. Within a matter of two weeks they double charged me for mortgage, over-drafting my checking account. When I spoke with them, they said they did not have any ideas how that happened and the best they could do was mail me a check that I would see in 10-15 business days.
There is a theme of poor business practices with Roundpoint Mortgage. I'm also witnessing this first hand. Due to bank fund transfer issues, my mortgage account had insufficient funds in it during a mortgage withdrawal. A simple $25 insufficient funds fee. What is Roundpoint's practice? Not to notify their customer and attempt a second withdrawal attempt from an account that already has insufficient funds in it - for a second fee. Got a phone message asking to contact them. Ok -20 minutes on hold-when can we expect a July payment? I say- Well the account is autopay, for 119 months, you should have just taken it out. Do you think it is because it is last payment? I thought you may be calling me to congratulate me? Just take it out. They say they cant take it out because the amount is different.
