Freedom Mortgage has had my mortgage for 3 years. I have had no problems until recently. They notified me about a rate reduction program I was eligible for. I signed up for the program based on their representatives Information about the program. The representative was very helpful and responsive. Loan sold to these guys and my first 5 calls in to customer service were a complete disconnect and transfer disaster ... I will be finding my own mortgage company to replace them... if only you had a customer service center you would have kept my Business wonder how many other folks left because phone calls were handled so poorly.
My mortgage was sold to this company by Veterans United. Veterans United was amazing and this company is the exact opposite of that. I did a simple rate reduction and this company turned it into a nightmare. I could never talk to the same person and they all ran me around in circles. STAY AWAY FROM FREEDOM MORTGAGE! Ok, I don’t know where to start, since any perspective is going to be negative. We originally closed on our home with Eagle Home Mortgage. It was later sold to Freedom Mortgage. We live in Texas and my husband is a disable vet and entitled to 100% exemption on property taxes. He sent them adequate proof from the Tarrant County Appraisal District showing he is does not have to pay property taxes effective Jan 1 2021. Everyone I interacted with was highly unprofessional. Even when escalated, Felicia Hopson acted like the process was bothersome and her having to step in was an annoyance. To top that off when scheduled closing I still had to reach out and confirm the time day off and I had to reach out to Ms Hopson for the update. Customer service doesn't exist at Freedom Mortgage.
