Trust me, anywhere but this makeshift of a short term stay rehabilitation and nursing home stay. My father got transferred here on Tuesday, my sister had suggested a chest X-ray to check for pneumonia cause he sounded gurgling and congested, they gave a paper the following day starting no pneumonia. Let me start by saying the aides are caring and patient, but understaffed. The administration is TOTALLY inept. There is no support to families, no updates from doctor, no communication with doctor at all, nurses do not relay messages to the doctor (is there a doctor?), no communication with family whatsoever regarding infection and changes to care, lying to family members saying we were notified when we were not, no care planning meeting after 4 months, referral and visit to outside doctor was canceled due to lack of VA ref... read more

The ONLY positive aspect I am able to give regarding Rosemount/Stone Mountain Run Nursing Home is, I TRULY hope Journey Healthcare will work at making the facility a pleasant experience for ALL the patients, residents, etc. In addition, for family members or responsible caregivers considering to choose this location for individuals needing short term, long-term care, whatever the case maybe, please make sure to visit for observation and inspection before a decision for placement for care is completed.
