art as it should be The consummate approachable art gallery in Seattle. They mix fine art with pop art in a way most spaces wouldn't even try, and more often than not they pull it off. Never any pressure when you visit, so feel free to stop in even if you've no clue what's going on. After all, that's what good art should do for you!

Fun art, not stuffy This is the place to find comic book art or tattoe-inspired art, but still high end. I love it because it is always a fun visit to an art gallery - not all galleries can say that. They have good art shows that change often. A great stop downtown - then go to one of the funky restaurants nearby and you'll have yourself a darn nice low-brow/high-brow kind of day.

A great gallery Many a great shows have happened at the "Roq". The owner is quite friendly and returns emails and phone calls immediately. Although I've never purchased anything from them (I've had the chance) the owner Kristen has always been more than helpful. Sends me jpegs and information that I needed.

Roq La Rue Roq La Rue rightly prides themselves as "purveyors of fine pop surrealism and badass lowbrow art." Displays are made up of highly-creative contemporary underground art, ranging from pinup shows to glittered superheroes & 3D prints, glasses and all. Although the gallery is itsy bitsy, the art changes monthly and is well worth the trip.
