Experience the Best! Rollerskate city is, by far, one of the cleanest rinks you will find in country. I travel the u.s. for work and my skates go with me. This rink was renovated in 2009, and is clean, and well maintained. All the skates were replaced in 2009, and the floor is resurfaced once a year. The managers are all adults, and are extremely professional. I've been skating for 47 years, and I'm proud to call Rollerskate City my home rink.
A neighborhood nusiance! Been to Roller Skate City twice - will say that the service wasn't great, but the employees at least seemed friendly. Unfortunately that's the best I can say. I live in the surrounding neighborhood, and many times in the past several months have been awakened at all hours of the night due to the loud music booming from inside this place. What happened to good Customer Service?? I'm a mother of 3 and it is important to me to make certain by childs birthday is special. I also have many years experience in customer service and/or dealing with the public on a personal level so i understand the importance of giving "good customer service." Please don't waste your time on a Birthday party here. ****This is not for Roller king this place is under new Mgt. and now called Roller Skate City. Same place new mgt.******* I paid $140.00 yesterday to have the worst birthday experience I have ever encountered for my seven year old daughter. I paid for two hours of skating and reserved table. Disappointing Roller King hasn't changed in 15 years. The owners invest little or nothing to improve this old facility. More over, it is dirty and run by teenagers. It is rare that I see an adult in a management position. The skates are very old and in disrepair. Essentially, Roller King has a monopoly on the roller rink market in Albuquerque and they know it. Unfortunately, they have very low standards and/or are motivated only by money. We would go skating much more often if the Roller King experience was more pleasant.
Constructive criticism I grew up skating in Portland, Oregon, and practically lived at the rink. Today I brought my child to the rink for the first time, and I have to say there are some suggestions I would like to make to help improve the quality of skating at this rink.
Rolling Nice place to go and hang out with friends, or a place to take the kids. They offer lockers so you can lock your things away while you are out on the floor. You can have parties there, and although I have never had one there, they seem to be a lot of fun. (I believe they give you the food from the snack bar). The prices are good, the music is upbeat, and if you go at night they play games where you can win prizes. skate Roller King is a great place to hang out with friends or as a family! Admission and rentals are affordable. The staff is great and the atmosphere is upbeat and fun! Lively ora and everyone has fun! Excellent!
Fun Great place to hang out with your family and exercise! :-) There play great music to skate to and the snack bar is typical. The DJ usually takes requests and will dedicate songs if you ask them.
