I sought help in musculoskeletal dysfunction. My first session was great and I was optimistic that series 10 would be equally successful. However I was wrong. I didn’t realize I had early onset Parkinson’s, so trying to get my body to move the way instructed only caused more distress. I was already very knowledgeable of body mechanics but ultimately felt like a failure because i couldn’t be fluid like instructed. I think it made me more uncomfortable in my body. Granted not anyone’s fault for I had an undiagnosed condition.
After starting with a really great Rolfer a relocation brought me to Dave. I did complete the series of 10 with him, but felt both the approach and results were lackluster. Dave would spend considerable time during the session on practicing sitting rather than the bodywork. The directions were vague and the approach seemed lazy. After completing the series, I did not feel any reduction in my back pain or posture improvement. Maybe he has improved in the years since I was a client, but I can’t recommend his services.
I’ve been through the gamut of pain management. I’ve done ALL the things -western and alternative- several times, ultimately, being told that I’m just gonna have to live with the pain going down the side of my leg. Dave was able to help put my body back into the position it needed to be to then strengthen, to make me functional again. And he’s a cool guy! If you’re hurting, you may want to step off the PT treadmill. Dave is a great place to begin healing!
