I had a 4 hour drive on Black Friday and a little over halfway, my car decided to leak all of its coolant! I stopped at the nearest gas station and had my hood propped open in the parking lot when the woman who works at Rod’s Mufflers walked past and asked if I was having issues. I explained what had happened and she said she worked at a place just down the street and told me where it was and I said, “I will be right there!” I went there and they got my car in right away and started working on it. We have used Rod’s services for several years now. He is honest about what needs repaired even if you are a woman and does not take ppl for rides financially and the work along with the cost is unbeatable! Rod pays attention to details that may make your car safer and lets you know when it is solid taking guess work off the customer! And estimates for what must be done to make it safe and what can be put off fixing for a time. My whole family has every bit of confidence in him!
WARNING! Me making this review is not me advising other people to do what I did. I live out of town. My motorcycle broke down somewhere down the road from Rod’s and they were not only kind enough to allow me to leave my bike on their property for over a week but one of the mechanics even hauled it all the way back to Gary for me. The receptionist was super understanding and Rod is one of the most generous strangers I’ve met. All in all, for such an unexpected situation, they went above and beyond.
Good mechanics , are hard to find. This is the only mechanic I will ever take my car too. Honest, friendly , professional and fare.
I trust the work but I would pay double to not have to deal with that guy. A diagnosis of "electrical" is not a diagnosis that should be charged. Very argumentative.
