What an amazing “gem” of a store. Family-owned and highly knowledgeable about the opals and other gems they carry. My kids love coming in the pick out small rocks, too!
I have purchased multiple earrings designed by Staci and am so happy with them! The jewelry designs at Rockaway Opals are unique and truly stunning with excellent craftsmanship—you’ll find Staci at her workbench right in the shop! I really appreciate the vast assortment of jewelry offerings for many budgets—I love the copper and silver! The specimens and opals are also insanely gorgeous and well chosen. This is a shop owned and operated with such care and passion and is worth a trip (or 2 or 5).
Wow this place is great! Mind blowing opal selection at reasonable prices. Just eye candy everywhere, the space is packed to the brim with unique treasures. If you’re looking for opal jewelry or loose opals, I’ve never been to a better spot for either. Excellent customer service too, super knowledgeable staff and they do much of the beautiful jewelry themselves. I’m also a rock collector and they had a small but excellent selection of top notch specimens. Thank you guys! Will be back for sure.

They specialize in Ethiopian opals and I purchased a pair of beautiful drop earrings. 22kt gold setting and 14kt gold posts. I think the price is very fair especially for Canyon Rd. The owner’s daughter, Stacey was so kind and helpful selecting my earrings. They are honest and the work is quality. I highly recommend.
