The Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery has been in continuous operation for over thirty years. Students have traveled from every continent except Antarctica, to attend. Since its founding in 1975, over 1200 students have graduated. The Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery is situated on a three acre lot in the old world atmosphere of South Phoenix. Best school ever! Learning to build guitars is an amazing experience that any guitar lover will enjoy!
I attended R-V in Spring of. 1999. Roberto-Venn gives you a hands-on experience that you really can't get anywhere else. The accumulated knowledge of the instructors and staff are key to what makes this school work. R-V equipped me with necessary skills to become the luthier that I am today. After graduation, I worked for Breedlove Guitars and a music store in Portland, Oregon as their repair tech. I also guitar-tech for bands once in a while.
