I've been volunteering and water sampling for Riverkeeper, in the Hudson Valley of New York, for several years. They are one of the few environmental organizations that provide hard science, evidence based information in their political advocacy for reducing polution. And their indisputable data is used by several other such advocacy groups lobbying for change. Hard working, dedicated folks.
