What a nice afternoon riverboat ride!! Took about a 2 hour cruise up the Mississippi River and back. Had a bar and restaurant, but best of all, a handicap elevator and a wonderful handicap bathroom! I was able to ride my scooter right onboard the 3rd floor, which was a treat for me! We didn't eat, but there was a small jazz band performing live and the price was very reasonable! I love this boat, the food and tea are great and its a nice comfy and casual ride up and down the river. I prefer this boat over the Creole Queen down the river. I haven't been on the Natchez yet, but seeing as how that boat and this boat are operated by the same group, I can't see how either one would be better over the other. And the live music is a nice touch.
The boat ride was quite pleasing and a joy to experience. The food, the live jazz, the slow cruise, the tour guide, and the sites throughout our travels were splendid. I want to highlight one employee in particular. Angelica (Jelly) sold pics during the City of New Orleans boat ride- checked on me after nausea so very sweet. I was so impressed with this young lady.
