Wide selection of nuts, spices and various treats. Try their lovely selection of halvas and chocolate coated strawberries! I also spotted Aleppo chillies. The shop is crammed and service is very personal here. Come in with an open heart.

An institution at the South Melbourne Market. Great take home coffee selection including hard to get organic coffee. Specialty goods during the season (Christmas, Easter, etc) make lovely gifts as Rita sources great products from Italy and elsewhere that you won't find in many shops.
My neighbour has been going to Rita's for years, I happened to be over her place on a weekend and she offered me some chocolate bullets! They are the best bullets I have ever eaten! I asked my neighbour to buy me some the next time she went to the South Melbourne Market, she brought them over on Sunday, I hate to say but I have eaten most of them. Well done Rita on selling top quality confectionery! Now I will be going to see what else I can get my hands on. 🥜
The old lady is very kind and thoughtful, she gave me nice suggestions of spaghetti.
