Stopped on our way to Death Valley National Park to see the burros. The staff was very welcoming and the burros and horses are well taken care of. We fell in love with a burro neck tag 4424 and would have loved to adopt her and take her home to Virginia with us. I wish we had brought carrots as other reviews mentioned but we didn’t know if we were allowed. If you’re passing through Ridgecrest definitely stop and visit!
Such a wonderful experience being able to feed the horses and Donkeys with the little ones definitely will have to go back soon
Great place, bring lots of carrots there are many willing recipients
A unique place, when you are heading to Death Valley National Park though Ridgecrest, on highway 178. This is where some of the wild horses, stallions and donkeys and Burroughs taken and cared for by the BLM. Nice drive around to look watch and feed (carrots, apples, hay if you have it).
Came here for the weekend when they were closed. Many of the animals have no shade and its 90 degrees out today
