Rider Express has received an official Warning Letter from Service Alberta’s Consumer Investigations Unit for misleading refund and rescheduling practices. The investigation found Rider Express applied undisclosed internal rules that contradicted the refund policy shown to customers at the time of purchase. I never expected a so-called nationwide bus company in Canada to operate like this. According to their own policy, tickets cancelled more than 24 hours before departure should receive a 50% refund. On January 6, I requested a refund for a ticket scheduled on January 21, which was clearly well in advance. They asked for my credit card details and name, which I provided.
