My brother was a residence of Rideau. He was initially hesitant to move from his previous residence but loved living at Rideau and never once regretted the move. The staff were friendly, caring and made sure my brother was well cared for when needed. This contributed greatly to his enjoyment with living at Rideau and to my peace of mind. I know my mother is getting good care delivered with kindness and consideration. As Rideau is a non-profit I am confident that what they offer is from the heart not with an eye on profit making. Many staff have been there a long time- this indicates that they are happy and happy staff do a good job. When I call Rideau appreciate how friendly and kind they are to me too! The staff are amazing! I am not a resident, my mother is though and can’t imagine her living anywhere else. Today, I fell outside and because I am disabled, was struggling to get up. Eric came right away and was very obviously skilled in handling a crisis. Thank God for him, he was patient and really helped me get up on my feet again. Although embarrassing, he made me feel like it was ok and he would be sure I would get back on my feet right away. I am so thankful he was near me.
