I went to the drive-through to make a cash deposit . The teller was courteous, simply told me just to “put the money in the tube” I asked her for a deposit slip. She said “we don’t do deposit slips. Just put the money in the tube”. Went into the bank and chatted with the bank officer who said that’s their policy and that when you make a deposit, you would need to show ID to verify that you have an account at the bank . For the last few months I was contemplating opening an account in Richmond County Savings Bank on Jewett Ave and Waters. Never happened, but today I was looking for a notary public and thought that this bank might have one. To my surprise, older bank employee, said that if I do not own an account in a bank, the notary cannot help me.
