About this business

The Chanin 46th theater was renamed Richard Rodgers Theater in 1990 to honor the great composer. The theater is unique in design as it has stadium style seating and has no separate entrances to the orchestra or the balcony. Many famous Broadway musicals have been staged at this venue and it continues to regale audiences to this day. If you're a fan of classical theater, this is one venue you wouldn't want to miss, as it's known to have staged a record number of award-winning plays and musicals.

Also, the restroom situation during intermission is like a battlefield. From underground (where the restroom is located) all the way to the first and second floor, it is PACKED and everyone stuck there.... read more

Really bad theater. I could barely sit, the seat was tiny and the ac hit directly on my neck and I was shivering. Why would you even turn on the ac? It was like 48 degrees outside

Doesn’t matter if you’ve heard the original Hamilton songs a million times. Seeing it live in NYC hits different. Worth the cost of admission. And I would say the same for several other shows nearby. Make it part of your trip if you are visiting.
