It was an easy decision to return to Maplecrest having spent a two-month respite there during the winter. Not only are the staff cheerful, caring and competent they treat residents like a good friend. With its current renovation and facelift, it is the ideal place to live in one’s later years in safety and comfort.
I’m not sure as to how accurate the recent reviews of this place are. This establishment, once a fine home to my grandparents, has sadly fallen into disrepair since the change in management some three years past. It grieves me to say that the current overseers seem more concerned with lining their pockets than the well-being of the residents. I have been living here at Maplecrest Village Retirement Residence from 2 years now, and it genuinely feels like home to me. From the moment I moved in, felt welcomed and included. The staff knows all the residents by name and are always kind, patient, and ready to help with anything we all need. There’s a real sense of care here that makes everyday life easier and more comfortable. Had the opportunity and privilege Friday past to attend Maplecrest Father's Day lunch with my father. They supplied a beautiful tablecloth meal for the dads, with a starter of sweet potato soup, Italian macaroni salad, followed by fall off the bone baby back ribs, fries, onion rings and grilled veggies. This was followed up with a wonderful ice cream cake for desert. They even had "Dad's" root beer in the bottle.
