I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for Mirette Gurges, the Social Service Worker at Elginwood Long-Term Care, where my mother receives care. My dad spent the last few months of his life at Elginwood, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care he received. The staff were always kind, patient, and respectful, and they treated my mom and the rest of our family like family too. Most importantly, they made the last months of my dad’s life feel peaceful, comfortable, and dignified, which meant so much to all of us. We’ll always be thankful for the compassion and care they showed him.

My good friend Alan's stay at Elginwood was no less than wonderful. On every level I can't say enough about the care and support Alan received. From the kitchen staff, Alan loved the food, especially the cookies and chocolate milk in the afternoon. The day to day care, he was given the best treatment, clean shaven, hair cuts, his room was clean, bed was made each day and sheets washed daily. r over two years, ELGINWOOD was my mother’s home, and I could not have asked for a more caring place for her to spend that time. The management team set the tone for everything. They were accessible, responsive, and truly treated families like partners. Any concern I raised was heard and followed up on quickly.
