Was there today to visit for Christmas and its so depressing. Can't even play any Christmas tunes for the people that pay thousands and thousands to live here. You'd think for a privately ran company they'd put more thought and money into caring for these people who are trying to live out their last few years and decades. While Colonel By Retirement Residence has many truly exceptional, hardworking and dedicated staff, as far as well-being and quality of life goes, I would not recommend the residence to friends or acquaintances for their loved one(s) .
As a private care provider, I have concerns about the standards at Venvi Colonel By. The environment is consistently disorganized, and there is a clear lack of oversight from management. Medication administration is unreliable — clients do not receive their medications at consistent times, even after these issues were reported directly to staff and management.
