I came into the state IRS today fulling expecting to pay over 2,000 dollars in back taxes for 2019. I approached Linda and she was completely professional, helpful, and honestly went above and beyond the scope of her job. I explained i had submitted my taxes and for some reason showed they hadnt been processed on the IRS side yet. She turned that tax due into a rebate due to a state side issue which she found. Can't reach a human on the phone to replace W-2's. Waited 55 minutes for a call back then was put on hold and my wait is now 97 minutes.
The people at the tax office are very helpful and they do have one computer on hand to use if you do not have one available.
Called at 3:53pm and spent 5 minutes on the phone maze, found something that sounded close to what I wanted, selected it, and got: The office is now closed. Hours listed here say open till 4:30 and the recording said open to 4:30, but they're closed?
