Zuntafi bought out a private student loan I had prior to 2020. From 2020 to 2022 they took the variable interest rate from 4% to over 11%, doing a quarter of a percent at a time. At one point it seemed like I was getting a notice weekly. Trying to work with this company is so incredibly difficult. It is a dark cloud and stress I have over my head every day.
This company apparently bought out student loans from another company, problem for me is I paid that company in 2012. We made a settlement and it has been paid for almost 13 years now, and suddenly this company wants me to pay them a bunch of back interest and for a loan that's already paid off. I never signed the one with this company and I'm sick of companies thinking that they can take advantage of people and just do whatever they want.
