Literally almost made me turn away from counseling all together I gave my back story which is not a very happy one and talked about a relapse I had a year ago and they literally called cps on me made false allegations and of course nothing came from it and cps obviously seen they didn’t know what they were talking about but it was still unnecessary to add to the problems I was already having. You guys should get some therapist who actual listen to what ur saying and not listen to bits and pieces and make up stuff to stir up ... read more
Michelle's presentation on trauma was so informative. Even the technical/scientific stuff was made easy to follow. Even better was the wealth of practical information to help me better understand trauma response and (hopefully) be better able to help those in need. This weekend our True ID staff and direct care volunteers were equipped with powerful trauma-informed training from Michelle Keener of reTHINK Therapy. We learned about the impact of trauma, key elements for healing, and how to better support survivors in practical ways.
