The experience of floating was great, if you’re on the fence I would say definitely try it. The facility itself was a not that great. The whole thing is basically a closet behind the hot yoga place. Since this is the only float center in the the area I wouldn’t let the aesthetic stop you from enjoying it, but if there were other options I probably would go somewhere else.

This was my first time floating, and I think I'd have to do it another time to really know if it's for me. I had a hard time getting out of my head or getting that real "sensory deprivation" feeling because I was absolutely FREEZING the entire time. This might be just a "Me" problem - I'm always pretty cold, but any part of me that was floating above the water had goosebumps the entire time, and submerged parts were close to being comfortable, but still a little cold. My husband and I floated for the first time today at Requiescent Float Center (first experience floating, period). Vam, a very personable and friendly young man, provided an excellent "tutorial" prior to going into the tank. Prior to going, we made sure to keep our expectations reasonable, but we both found it very relaxing (me, more so - like an enhanced meditation session). We live too far away to do this weekly, but we definitely plan on making this a regular thing, every two months or so.

If you're even THINKING of going here, absolutely do it! After I floated here for the first time, I was like "why can't I do this every day of my life?!" The experience was so relaxing and meditative, and don't get me started on the staff. My first trip I was helped by Sarah, who related to me about visual arts and was overall super friendly and relatable. On my second trip, Kitty and Vam helped us, both of which were so nice and helpful. Kitty is very personable and chatted with my girlfriend and I for quite some time about... read more
