I bought their chicken schnitzel after the staff mentioned they have been reduced and infact encouraged I buy it, it was significantly reduced so sure I don't expect the food to be top notch Gordon Ramsay level of course but what I got sold doesn't even belong in organic waste it needs to go to straight to landfill it was that bad. Never bit into a chicken this tough like biting into a a wooden bookshelf plank.
Had wider range of artisanal produce and selection from small independent farmers/businesses when Renaissance chain was running it. Overall still better than major supermarkets.
• Edit: Needs new management as two years later the same issue remains. Moldy produce sold at full price instead of being binned and roast chickens still in the hot tray after 11 hours not following regulations. I’m all for supporting local, but when you place a home delivery order and they sneak in moldy punnets of berries, expired yogurt and festering vegetables - do you continue to shop here? No. I also reported this to management and they have no interest in fixing it.
