The Renaissance is a beautiful facility, inside and out! When I drive up, I am greeted with a gorgeous array of potted flowers in pleasing colors. It makes me feel right at home, as my mother resides here, and loves all things related to flowers in the Spring and Summer. There is a porch area for residents to take it all in, as well as additional outdoor seating on other sides of the building. The Harbor at Renaissance was the answer to a prayer. The staff is caring and considerate. My husband is well cared for and content. The staff takes the time to get to know us as a family and are inclusive of my health issues when my ability to visit is limited. They have made a difficult time in our lives as pleasant as possible. The location is beautiful and cheerful. I recommend The Harbor to everyone.

In January, my mother transitioned to Renaissance Assisted Living, and it has truly been a wonderful experience for us. We explored numerous facilities in both Richmond and Charlottesville, but Renaissance stands out far above the rest. My mother takes great pleasure in the pastor who visits on Tuesdays, along with the music, games, and arts offered at the senior center. Furthermore, the regular strolls around town have been a wonderful addition to her routine. I feel so thankful that we secured a place at Renaissance.

The exe director at the Renaissance ALF, not the Harbor, let my 94 year old father with dementia and cancer leave the facility at 2am on 3/10/2025 looking for his wife in Stanardsville in the cold in only his pjs and using a rollator. He is a huge fall risk. The one worker that night was brand new and she called the exe director and she told her to let him go. No police was ever called and I learned of it from a text at 2am from the same exe director. The whole thing was caught on Ring cameras that I bought and installed the... read more
