Always get a deposit slip for proof of your transactions! This winter my daughter brought in some money to deposit into savings. When she brought out her deposit slip- it showed they had REMOVED the amount she deposited! She went right back inside and the teller reversed the error. I don’t know if it was an honest mistake or the teller trying to steal her money. Another time the teller (not sure if it was the same one) shorted my other child on her deposit. She didn’t get a slip and couldn’t prove it, so we didn’t report it.... read more
I opened an account here as a backup. I was told that as long as I had over $100 that there would be no penalties. It has been a few years now and when I got my yearly statement I had $48 left. When I called, I was told that there is a $6 a month "fee" for not using it.
