I love this store. The employees couldn’t be nicer, especially Will and Chris. They helped me track down some special lighting and were so professional and nice. The store has great selection and quality. I travel from San Mateo just to go to this store and it’s worth it.
If I could give less stars, I honestly would. I purchased items here and was super excited, only to find that the company charged me for each item twice--something like paying a deposit at a hotel? The customer service person said the 2nd charge would fall off my checking account in 3-5 business days. Why the hell would you charge for each item twice? I am writing this review about the company, not the shop on 4th Street. We wanted to buy a simple curtain rod. The rod is now arriving by tiny packages over the span of 2 months. When we ordered online, we were not told that some part of that Rod was backorder. This shop was great before they were acquired by a larger company. Now it is just mediocre. Last time I am buying anything from them.
Products are great, pricey but good quality. The staff on the other hand continue to be inept. As a trade partner, it is extremely frustrating when you tend to know more about the products than the in store sales people. For products at this price level and quality, the employees need to be better educated.
