Ok...I'm editing my review because I went back this past weekend. I saw something about free hot chocolate on Facebook, so I figured why not? OMG! I don't know if they're new owners or they just hired new people, but it was great! First of all, what woman doesn't love being served hot chocolate by a cute guy with a salt and pepper beard *swoon*. Second, everyone else was super friendly and helpful. I had a bad experience in the store today. I found an amazing Fairy Lamp that I was very excited about. I placed it on the counter and waited for someone to come over. When I spotted her coming, I smiled and said hello. When she came over, she waved her hands repeatedly, while saying, " Move, move, move. I guess she was already helping someone. My mom and I had a great time shopping here today. Good selection of nautical and MCM decor. Prices were mostly pretty fair.
I'm fairly new to antiquing, so maybe this is normal? I went to a few shops in Keyport today (see my review of Family Treasure). Are we supposed to climb up ladders ourselves to take things off of a shelf to look at? That's what my friend was told to do today. The woman working said she wasn't going to go up the ladder, but he could. The store itself has amazing stuff, and most of the prices seem good to me, but the staff could be a little friendlier (or is it more friendly?)
