If you're assigned Brian as your GAL, be prepared for a frustrating experience. In my experience, he was unresponsive, rarely returned phone calls, and did not appear to meaningfully listen to the concerns presented. The final report felt superficial, lacking the thoroughness, attention to detail, and professionalism I expected from someone in such an important role. Scott would have me see him in person because I had to pay more for in-office visit. It could’ve all been easily handled on the phone. I should’ve had, standard at least, nine years support but after four, he said we had to go back to court. My abusive ex made out like a bandit.
