My wife and daughter each bought a pair of HOKA's from REI. The tread started to separate on both pairs shoes. REI states on their website that if there is a defect with the shoes they can be returned within a year. I took the shoes into the Southlake REI store and the manager would not honor their policy. She questioned me about where the shoes were stored while they weren't being used. Insinuating that if they were left in a garage that the Texas heat would cause the tread glue to release. Older woman in shoe department was grumpy, rude and unhelpful. It seemed to be a burden for her to even talk to us about shoes. We left feeling bummed out and shaking our heads. Really hates her work.
