Regions closed my account for having $0 on my account. It was only 2 days like that and when I went to deposit my check they told me it was closed I would have to go inside to open a new account but I could get $200 for doing it. It just all doesn't sound right to me and when I asked the main banker why he said all banks do that. And when I went to open my account at another bank they all said they never heard of that and everyone I work with said they never heard of that either. I've been with regions since I moved to Florida 3 years ago. I went on Friday to deposit a check for $50 that my husband had signed over to me. I've done this before and never had a problem. I was told they couldn't do that. I explained that I did it before and it was fine. I just went to another regions today and they deposited the check no questions asked. So I would understand if that's policy not to deal with 3rd party checks but it should be the same at all branches.
