For profit (fines, penalty charges, who gets that money?). 3rd party app toted as a "Government" entity, infringing on people's rights through discriminatory practices. Charges taxes based on estimates without verification and threatens wage garnishment if payment is not met within a random deadline they set. But it's okay. They are now on the radar of the Attorney General, State Ethics Commission, the BAR association, County and State Representatives, and the Butler County Prosecutors. Good luck.
This agency is horrible and predatory. I’ve always thought that municipal tax and state were filed together so I never knew about RITA. I got a notice from last month that I unfortunately didn’t see until a week ago saying I missed filings from 2023-24, when I didn’t know RITA even existed. So my question is, why didnt RITA mail me years ago when I actually missed filings, or better yet, even let me know I owed them taxes before I missed them in the first place? The company charging you for already paid municipal taxes does not have proper systems to calculate what you owed for municipal taxes and cannot calculate hybrid work situations so you pay more than what you should and penalties on top of that! Not a good look, Ohio.
