My father moved to Heron Point in July. He is 93 years old. The sink was leaking and the washer and dryer were not working when he moved in. He experienced many issues with ordering meals. The back entrance door did not lock properly…a real safety issue.The rugs were filthy and the halls smelled. He gave his 60 day notice at the end of July…he was so disappointed after only 3weeks. It's very easy to meet people, people are very friendly. Milton with maintence has been extremely friendly & helpful every time. The activity team does a beautiful job decorating, providing special events & happy hours, and plenty activities.
Challenges always come along when you have an aging parent (in this case 88 years old) whose short term memory may not always be what it used to be. When you have someone that is not family but that is willing to help in a way that eases your stress (specifically when you live elsewhere) is a blessing. Hair stylist Ms Tee is truly outstanding.
T, the hairstylist at Heron Point is always available, always smiling, and always does a fabulous job with my hair. She takes great care of all the residents at Heron Point and her customer service is excellent. You can tell she truly loves what she does-we’re lucky to have her!
