Georgetown Refinishing (GR) repaired a number of nicks and scrapes on a 40 year old lacquer buffet. Because it is a rather large piece, repairs were done onsite. We sent GR a set of photos showing the damaged areas and they were able to provide us an estimate with the caveat that while they could make the piece look "much better" repairs would not be perfect. We recently purchased some vitrines which had some age-related damage to their black lacquer frames. I really didn't know who to ask for help restoring them but feel very lucky to have found Georgetown Refinishing. References were extremely pleased with finished products from upholstery to refinishing. Prices are on the high end. However, if you're looking to keep pieces of furniture for many years, this place does quality workmanship.
