I had a great experience at Reem Acra and would definitely shop here again for a special occasion. I was looking for a mother of the bride dress but could not find anything that worked for my petite frame. I saw a Reem Acra dress on line on Usha Vance who is petite and booked an appointment easily. I travelled from Boston and had a terrific first meeting. I can understand the previous comments about the new space. I think they just moved and are trying to outfit it and figure it out, but it didn't bother me at all. I don't typically leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so because of my great experience. I made a bridal appointment and it was confirmed via email. I had a meeting with Gabrielle at the salon and she took such great care of myself and my two guests at the appointment. I truly cannot overstate how horrible my experience was at their 501 5th ave bridal location... 1. The Dresses Despite sending my sizes to their bridal team, they did not actually have any dresses in my size for me to try on. I made my appointment specifically to try on one of their bridal gowns and the sample of that dress they had for me was way too big. So big that I was unable to even picture what it should look like. We found a Reem Acra gown ( Open Your Heart) at a trunk show at a bridal salon in NYC but since the atelier is right in NY we decided to make an appointment and order it there. Gabrielle was very professional and helpful while selecting my daughter’s stunning gown . We even met the designer herself who helped with the veil selection . Unfortunately, my daughter’s wedding was postponed twice due to the pandemic. I had to pick up her gown and store it at home until it was time for alterations. Had a great experience with choosing and ordering the dress but the worst experience and outcome with alterations and fittings - I went through a lot of stress to convince them to alter the dress to make it look close to what I ordered, and I failed. At the end the most significant part of the design and detailing of the dress looked very mediocre and nothing close to the sample I tried and they didn’t even do a good enough job with the train attachment; I had to hold the train during the wedding party.
