The Laurel, so far has been Amazing!! Our 86yr old mama moved here more than a year ago as they were transitioning to new ownership. Arvin, from our first encounter until now, has been super helpful, kind, and productive. Our mama is very happy in this place run by him, May, Gamila, and all the warm and friendly staff in the kitchen, maintenance, and environmental services. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Moved my parents here and they have been super happy with their new home! The staff is amazing, maintenance issues are done quickly, and the community here is very welcoming and warm.
Very nice community! Super quiet and safe area and the interior looks beautiful now that the renovations have been done, management and staff are also amazing, I have always had good experiences with them when my mother had issues arise and everything was super smooth.

Some of the older positive reviews are from when this business was owned by a family and called Redwood Villas. It has now been purchased by a corporation. If you are considering moving here, it might be a good idea to ask about the ownership and do some research on that company. One recent problem is lack of timely attention to maintenance issues. Water is pooling on the kitchen floor of my mother's apartment from pipes leaking underneath. I believe it's been almost 2 months now.
