We are fortunate to have both the Yakima and Red’s in the PNW. The guides at Red’s are so incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and quite frankly, fun to fish with. Max and Eric have already provided us with some exceptional memories to start 2025! There is never a bad day at Red’s.
I've been fishing the Yak for years, and I wish I had four hands so I could give this crew FOUR THUMBS UP! We had a fantastic day trout fishing with Steve (and I've fished with other guides here too, and they’re all top-notch). We fished with both a one-handed traditional fly rods and a two-handed trout Spey rod. Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and patient in teaching the Spey casting technique. I booked a Red's Fly Shop "Trout Taxi" trip with guide, Patrick. The purpose of this guided trip is to use a drift boat to get to places where you can get out of the boat and wade fish. This would allow you to return on your own with some knowledge about where you could access the river. Patrick was extremely knowledgeable about the section of the Yakima River we were on.
