Red Stone Glen is a treasure. I've taken three (or four?) classes here with Sara, and am now in an intermediate class taught by Tom Knisely! I am learning so much, and enjoying every minute. The store is a knitter/spinner/weaver's delight, jam packed with so much fiber, it's almost overwhelming! They have everything you need there, and if they don't have it, Annie will get it and ship it to you! I wish I lived closer, but am already looking ahead and planning for the next class on my wish list!
I am in love with this place and its people! 1. The property and buildings are a rare beauty. 2. The people worked for years to save and restore this gorgeous place. Everyone you meet has tid bits of how they love parts of the property and the fiber arts. Yes, even the youngsters have stories and will show you around. This experience was absolutely AMAZING! Sara and her staff are beyond generous imparting all their knowledge, and were welcoming and so down to earth. I met some fabulous ladies, learned A LOT and it has really inspired me to start weaving again. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it, but classes sell out quick! I look forward to my next class!
