I started going to this store 1 year ago - looking for one thing. Since then, I have visited many times, taken many classes and found many, many things! Walking into this store is like walking into a candy shop - so many colors and so much bling! LIzz is amazing and has so much knowledge that she is willing to share! I stopped at the bead store in kenosha thinking it was going to be as boring as the town it resides in. Boy was I wrong! There were countless beads,Swarsky crystals, a wide variety of findings, wire, pendants, books, let me just say I couldn't believe my eyes. I felt like I was a kid in a candy store! As I entered bead haven , I was instantly enchanted!! by the beauty of all the anormous , selection of beads. I was properly greeted by the owner Liz. Who sure does have such knowledge of beads.! I spent the whole afternoon there! I made a bracelet, and eyeglass holder! Liz taught me how to select the right beads for my projects. And a lesson in bead stringing. Strength in Length I've lost the strength to walk and lift. I'M still able to stand strong. I Thank GOD I can still feed myself. Though I don't know for how long. It's strange to watch your body fade. Knowing the strength's not coming back. Though somehow I'M still growing strong. It's just the muscles that I lack. Bead Haven is a friendly place that brings people with a similar interest (beading) together. It's a small shop with a big heart. Lizz, the shop's owner loves people and beading and bringing the two together. She has stocked her small shop with a wide variety of beads (from Fimo beads for the kids to semi precious stones for the hard core beader). Red Rose's Bead Haven? This shop should have been called Bead Heaven. Lizz Swanson, the owner, has made it her business to order whatever stock her customers request. Then she goes a step beyond and includes different sizes and colors she knows will go with your special bead requests. Huge silver selection and too many short strands of semi precious stones to display. Lizz also makes jewelry and sells some of her customer's work. This has to be about the friendliest bead store I have ever been to. Everyone in the place is helpful, especially the owner Lizz. If she doesn't have what you want displayed, she just might have it in her studio, her car, or her personal stash!! If she doesn't have it, she will order it for you. All of her "bead angels" are just as helpful and friendly and her instructors are wonderfully creative. Just spend a little time in the place and the creative vibes will flow! Go take a class or just go down to bead.
