Lydia (move-in/outs, inspections) is awesome. She worked with me to make sure all of the tenants requests were addressed adequately and in a timely manner). Axel (maintenance) is great as well- he gets maintenance issues addressed the way I would do it myself if I could. After a lot of hesitancy renting out my a wonderful experience with them taking care of it as I would.

We have had a few problems with our plumbing in our rental over the year, Axel from Real Property Management Pros has been excellent with communication and helping us organize vendors to fix these issues. All-round highly responsive and professional!

Had Axel Help me out with getting the back deck secured and stained. All warped boards were secured in a few days and a staining was scheduled less than a month away. Fantastic response and great customer service all around.

Last week, we came downstairs around 1AM to a basement that was completely drenched. There was a puddle in our boiler room that had seeped into the carpets outside. With a 2 year old and a 4 month old at home – this was the very last thing my wife and I needed, especially since the basement serves as my home office during quarantine. I immediately sent an email to Real Property Mgmt. Pros, the company responsible for maintenance at our rental home. I followed up with a phone call first thing in the morning. Right from the beginning, Cindy was incredibly helpful. She listened to my concerns, and arranged for a plumber to pass by within an hour or two. The plumber confirmed that there were no pipe leaks but the HVAC and/or draining system may be the problem. Cindy called me as soon as the plumber left to let me know that she received an update from the plumber and that she arranged for an HVAC technician to pass by. The HVAC technician arrived within an hour or so thereafter. He confirmed that the leak was due to a clogged drain line and he proceeded to clear the line. As soon as the technician left, Cindy called again to check and see how things were going. She was worried about our kids and said a carpet drying person would arrive ASAP. Cindy was so thoughtful and diligent. She called the following day to make sure the carpet drying person had arrived. He set up a few giant industrial fans and a dehumidifier. After a couple of days of drying, I told Cindy that there was an unpleasant smell in the basement. Cindy arranged for the carpet person to professionally clean the basement carpet to make sure everything was back in order. She said to let her know if the smell remained, and if so, she would send the crew again. I didn’t need to call back because Cindy had solved our problem. Cindy went above and beyond to check in and see how we were holding up. She was a breath of fresh air throughout this entire ordeal. Cindy truly set the standard in customer service and resolved our issues as quickly as she could. We are so grateful for her caring professionalism. Thank you Real Property Mgmt. Pros and thank you Cindy – for being amazing!

We are a military family who needed a property management company to find renters for our townhome in Burke, VA. We contacted the company and Chuck Adcox replied. He is professional, responsive, and punctual. He provided information and answered questions about the NOVA area. With his experience and knowledge, he found renters for our home quickly. We feel assured that Real Property Management will attend to the needs of our home while we are overseas.

I wanted to share my experience with Real Property Management Pros. We learned Sunday evening that our AC was broken. I put in my service request online overnight, which was a very hot and miserable night with no air conditioning, a 90 degree day, and a 2 year old asthmatic. I followed up with Real Property Management during the 9 o'clock hour and was greeted by Cindy. She was immediately responsive to the situation and was on the phone with the warranty company and property owner to make sure we got serviced right away. Cindy was very empathetic to our situation and called back to update throughout the day as progress was made. She wasn't sure we could be seen that day, but she keep trying until someone agreed to come out the same day. Cindy called us with the good news and cheered with me as we learned it was a simple capacitor issue. The technician who came out quoted Cindy by name and agreed that she is habitually responsive and is always there for her people. She even called me back at the end of her work day to ensure we were set. This almost meant more to me than the cool air! I felt so supported and heard in a situation that had a possibility of getting me hot under the collar (literally) thanks to Cindy. I am cool as a cucumber and very thankful for her hand in this experience.

I should have known there was a problem with this company when we first signed our lease. We were told we couldn't move in until the carpets were replaced, so we waited around and called the office several times with no answer, then finally got our keys, only to walk in and see the carpets hadn't been replaced. While we understood that was probably up to the owner, some communication from the office would have been nice. The carpets ended up getting replaced two weeks later, which I had to take off work for. Fast forward a few months and things started falling apart, literally. Nearly every appliance in the house had issues or needed to be replaced, we had a pipe leak, and the air conditioning was deteriorating over several weeks in the summer, and the company would be notified and just make suggestions of how we could fix things ourselves. When they eventually would send out maintenance, we'd talk with the workers and they'd be shocked at how much the company was suggesting we do ourselves. Several of them told us not to do the things the company said because we aren't professionals. Eventually after over a year of dealing with taking off work for maintenance only to have something always broken in the house, and getting attitude and condescension from the company representatives, we decided to move. We got informed of our rights and gave proper notice, and got contacted by Chuck Adcox saying we would have to pay penalties and that they wouldn't even list the house until a month and a half after we were moving so it would be in our best interest to stay. That was a load. Neither our lease nor the state law say anything about paying early termination fees, and it's actually the law that they have to make an honest effort to accept a new tenant after we move, they can't just refuse to list the property and run the clock out on our lease to collect rent. But that's the kind of customer service, or lack thereof, that we received time and time again. Whenever we'd try to talk to them they were defensive or downright dishonest and not once in all of it did they ever just simply apologize for the inconvenience. They always tried to find a way to make us liable and cut corners. They're the absolute worst company I've ever rented from, they do not value customers as people.
