Joanne is an exceptionally talented OT. I selected her because she was one of the few people in my area who specialized in OT for hand and arm injuries. Before I saw her, I was not hopeful that my elbow injury would recover without surgery. Even after just the first session, I made tremendous progress which I attribute to her deep knowledge of both the theory and practice of occupational therapy, as well as her careful initial and continuous evaluations that shape a treatment plan personalized for my needs and capabilities. ... read more
Joanne is an amazing OT! She is very knowledgeable and skilled, really takes the time to assess and understand what is going on, and is very compassionate. I would recommend her to anyone in need of occupational therapy.
Joanne Hughs, OT is an exceptionally skilled practitioner. I have worked with her for shoulder pain and a separate thumb injury. Both times, she was able to help me heal without surgery. I would return to her for treatment or rehabilitation without hesitation. She takes the time to really understand the mechanics of an injury, so that she is able to focus on interventions and recommendations that are very specific and tailored. Scheduling appointments was easy, and her office is very convenient (including free parking).
Joanne is wonderful, knowledgable, understanding, and a compassionate healthcare practitioner. She helped me recover from surgery and has a diverse background and training in occupational therapy and hand rehabilitation. I very much appreciated her help, guidance, & education with my rehabilitation process. Thank you! :)
I hurt my shoulder from a sports injury while sea kayaking and had to have surgery to repair a torn ligament. Joanne helped me through the many months of recovery, not just with her clinical skills but her patience with the frustrations of having to start from ground zero in using my arm. Now, I am back in the gym and on the water thanks to her help. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate occupational therapist.
