They definitely need better training. The teller verified the RBC bank draft and still placed a hold on it, which makes no sense. This has been a very frustrating experience — the same branch handles things differently every time, and there’s no consistency.
The customer service was very disappointing. When I visited on January 15, 2025, the staff member asked how she could help me, but as soon as I started explaining my concern, she picked up her phone and began scrolling instead of listening. This felt very unprofessional and made me feel ignored. Customer service definitely needs improvement.
Went to withdraw a small amount of money and this was the first instance I've encountered where autodeposit Interac e-transfers are subject to a 24-hour hold. It appeared as though she found enjoyment in and desired to complicate the situation. I wish I could recall her name. She was an older lady with dark hair, accent. Difficult to talk to.
Never met a more angry and belittling person in my life, RBC needs to send their employee Adeline to anger management classes as she needs help.
