My spouse and I used PayPlan for several large IKEA purchases. We placed the orders after applying and being accepted for the RBC Payplan, using my IKEA account, email address, my phone number, and my spouse’s RBC bank account details to. At no point did the system ask whether I myself had an RBC account when applying for the loan. Although two of the three purchases appeared in the PayPlan portal that I could access with my phone number, the third purchase never showed up.
