I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at RBC Royal Bank with a teller named Bahar Javid. I went there to request a bank draft, but she unexpectedly asked me why I needed it and what I was planning to do with the money. I was honestly shocked — such personal and confidential questions are completely inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable. Frustrating to deal with. I've banked with RBC for the majority of my life with a few frustrations over the years. My bank card was 2 weeks expired. When I went to see where it was and take out cash, I was told it was in the mail, so I decided not to get a temporary card. Weeks later, still no card, I called in and was told that for some reason it wasn't issued until the day I was in the branch (not sure why the branch would have lie about that) and it for take at least 7 days from that point.
