This is the worst bank in Canada. I deposited a cheque from Sun Life Insurance for 5 figures and was told that they would hold the cheque for 4 days, then 7 days, then 100 days, then 1 year. After endless visits to the branch, and phone calls to customer service, emailing everyone at RBC, Sun Life, and even national news shows, I finally got my money after a month. I promptly took all my money out of RBC and deposited it into BMO, which is next door.
Royal bank system is still back in 1999 for business they has not evolved, using there on line banking needs to be upgraded, TD banking is has Royal bank beat on service, online banking etc..... We are so disappointed with there service

Lost access to my accounts on a Saturday and Michael was very diligent and determined to help me get back into my banking. Had to come back on a Monday for further assistance and Michael again went above and beyond to fix the issues in a timely matter! Very thankful for such competent staff!
