I would not recommend banking with RBC. My new credit card’s annual fee — which the terms and conditions clearly state is waived for the first year — was charged anyway. After noticing the error, I had to call customer service and then also spend an hour in-branch to get it addressed. What was most frustrating was that refunding the fee was presented as a “courtesy,” rather than simply correcting a charge that contradicted the card’s written terms. If I could leave no stars… This is feedback on the extremely poor service for the RBC branch at Crowfoot. We have been trying to up an online business account payee through the branch. We were on the call for 98 minutes. Then the call just dropped and no one bothered to call back. We just wasted an entire afternoon holding, getting through, spending time with the rep, getting transferred to a supervisor, and boom the call drops, no resolution or call back. Pathetic. Canie was very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Access to the ATMs are closed outside of regular banking hours and there is no drive-through banking so what’s the point? Royal Bank, you can do a lot better than this
