I had a fantastic experience at this branch while visiting Calgary. After my first night in town, I opened my banking app and saw my checking account was massively overdrawn — cue immediate panic. I couldn’t get help online, so I drove straight to the closest branch, which happened to be this one. Thankfully, I was quickly helped by MARISA (Client Advisor), who was an absolute professional. Very bad experience with the online call and they dont even listen to their clients what the heck is this
The woman (Black, possibly of African descent) at this branch was extremely rude. I needed assistance with sending a large amount to the U.S., and I asked her for help. However, she spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner, saying it wasn’t her job and that I should take care of it outside the bank. I felt completely dismissed and disrespected. This experience has made me not only never want to return to this branch, but also reconsider continuing to use RBC at all. I am extremely upset and disappointed.
