I don't understand why the bank can't cash a USD20 cheque that's signed to me even if I have an account with RBC. The excuse was "because it takes 20 days to clear". So what? Place a hold and cash the cheque. Banks find every possible excuse not to help you.
Very poor service at RBC 7299 Kingsway, Burnaby (V5E 1G5). The tellers did not appear knowledgeable. We don’t expect them to know everything, but we do expect them to ask their supervisors and try to understand the issue. Instead, they simply pushed us back to the call centre—even after we clearly explained that we had already spent 45 minutes on the phone and were advised by the call centre to visit the branch.
