I went to deposit quite a few cheques as I got back pay from my work. I did go to the Main Street location first to cash a cheque to pay my agent but they put a hold on that one. Luckily my agent trusted that I would pay in full before the end of the week. I go here regularly as it is very close to where I live. Zero issues with any holds on all 5 of my big cheques. I highly recommend this location.
As a former HSBC customer, I had reservations about staying with RBC. I've used several RBC branches in the area. Staff in other branches in shiny new premises have disappointed in failing to have sufficient knowledge to help. I have used this branch 4 times now and have been assisted each time by different personnel, all of whom were very helpful and knowledgeable. 5 people in line and 20 minute wait, I'm sure you could do better with those profits, but who cares, we're in Canada so no need to do better, you and the others own the government.
Worst branch ever. Complete waste of time. Tellers purposely did not want to help and avoided the simplest task and blamed not having competent staff around to help them.
