Very disappointed with the customer service at the RBC Belle River branch. My account was frozen, and I was asked to visit a branch with two pieces of ID. Instead of helping, the manager questioned my address changes even after I provided all the required documents and verified my information through my CRA account. Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. When I said I was considering closing my account because of this experience, she didn't seem to care. I really don't care for this branch,staff aren't the greatest,service is terrible,considering switching to another bank.
We were sold a promotional high interest, short term savings account. RBC then backpedaled and said that there was no such promotion. It took 3 months and dozens of hours on the phone and writing emails, and the branch manager said he would give us 1/3 of the money we were owed. We said if we were not given the full amount owed to us that we would have no choice but to contact the ombudsman. The full amount owed was deposited in our account the following day.
